A carousel is the question, not the conclusion.

The Idea School page is where an idea earns attention. This research desk is where the same idea has to survive evidence, counter-arguments and better questions.

The public catalogue

Instagram reports 32 posts. We could verify 26 distinct public captions after removing repeated concepts and separating commemorative visuals from research carousels.

Research priorities

These are research briefs, not finished verdicts. Each one shows what the carousel got right, what needs correction and where the full investigation should go next.

P-01Infrastructure · Fintech

UPI is infrastructure. The business model sits around it.

NPCI recorded 23.66 billion UPI transactions worth ₹29.88 trillion in July 2026 across 741 live banks. That scale supports the carousel's central idea: the payment is the doorway, not the whole opportunity.

The harder research question is who pays for reliability and who captures value when the user experience remains free. The live policy debate on merchant charges makes this a continuing investigation, not a settled explainer.

P-02Business · Public policy

The Licence Raj ended. The cost of permission did not vanish.

DPIIT's Business Reforms Action Plan still measures transparency, approval speed, document requirements and regulatory delivery across states. The existence of that reform programme is evidence that process quality remains economically important.

The full study should measure time, uncertainty and coordination across a small set of real business journeys. Counting approvals alone will miss the cost of unclear sequencing and repeated follow-up.

P-03AI · Infrastructure

AI's cloud has a physical bill.

CEEW estimates that Indian data centres used about 0.5% of national electricity and roughly 150 billion litres of water in 2025, with both expected to more than double by 2030.

The strongest research angle is not whether data centres are good or bad. It is how siting, cooling, grid mix and disclosure rules change the public cost of each new unit of compute.

P-04Retail · Operations

DMart's advantage begins with cost, not discounting.

Avenue Supermarts describes its model as everyday low cost and everyday low price. An FY2025 credit review hosted by the company reported ₹59,358 crore in operating income, 17% annual growth and ₹33,896 in revenue per square foot.

A useful case study should connect procurement, inventory turns, store ownership, product mix and price perception. Calling it simply "low margin, high volume" hides the operating system that makes the promise possible.

P-05Psychology · Business

Visible success hides work, luck and missing failures.

The four success carousels correctly point to compounding, but biography alone cannot identify cause. Research on serial entrepreneurs finds evidence of skill, while research on venture capital also shows that early success can create persistent advantage.

The sharper essay is not "work hard and win." It is how to learn from success stories without confusing persistence, selection effects, access and luck.

P-06Education · Platforms

A student discount is an acquisition strategy.

The platform thesis is strong: tools compete for early habit and future professional use. The offer list, however, cannot be evergreen. Notion currently gives eligible individual students a free Plus plan, while Canva's premium access depends on school or university participation and OpenAI offers vary by country and campaign.

This should become a maintained resource desk with an eligibility date on every offer, not a permanent claim that a college ID unlocks every named product.

Editorial correction / Parle-G

A good thesis can still carry a bad number.

The carousel's business insight about affordability, distribution and repeat purchase is worth developing. But the ₹15,568 crore figure appears to describe Parle Products' company revenue, not revenue from Parle-G alone. The claim of nearly one billion packs per month also lacks a current primary source we could verify.

Research decision: keep the thesis, remove the unsupported scale claims, then rebuild the case from company records and channel evidence.

One idea. Four levels of depth.

The page and the research journal now work as one editorial system without forcing every idea into the same format.
